#MileShyClub runner Lisa features in the Manchester Evening News

We are absolutely delighted to see one of our super-inspiring runners, Lisa, feature on page 32 of today’s Manchester Evening News. It’s great to see further media coverage of the #MileShyClub, and we really hope that Lisa’s story inspires many others to come and give running a try.

…But going somewhere like the #MileShyClub, where everyone has their different levels… nobody feels left out.

Ultra runner and triathlete Paddy Logue visits to talk about mental STRENGTH

We had a lovely #runandtalk session this morning in the sunshine. Our guest speaker Paddy talked to us about his navy seals and SAS training, together with his 10 Iron Mans and 36 marathons. Paddy explained he had also been a beginner and how the mental challenges he faces when running are just the same as when he started. "It is better to try and fail, than to try and quit". We couldn't have put it better ourselves.

The #MileShyClub collects award at England Athletics presentation evening

We were honoured to collect our first award for Innovation Project of the year this evening from England Athletics.  Jane Wilby-Palmer talked about what the #MileShyClub has achieved so far, and how being a good coach isn't just about showing people how to run, but giving people the belief in themselves that they CAN run. Great night with great people.  We love our Club and are thoroughly proud of all our runners and their achievements. Click on the images below to scroll through a few photos!
