How do I join MileShyClub running clubs? Simply complete our sign up form HERE and you will receive a welcome email - then simply come along to your first session!

Where and when do you run? Mondays are at Stretford, Urmston and Wythenshawe. Tuesdays are at Partington, Sale, Salford Quays and Swinton. Wednesdays are at Stretford. Thursdays are at Old Trafford, Sale and Worsley. Fridays are at Altrincham. You can find full details of meeting times and places HERE . New clubs coming later this year!

How do I pay? All sessions are £2 on a pay as you go basis - bring cash on the day.

What do I wear? You just need to wear something comfortable that you can move in and some comfy trainers - there's no need for anything too technical to start with!

How long do sessions last? We always start with a couple of warm up games and finish with a cool down session so expect your session to last around an hour.

Am I fit enough to join MileShyClub? MileShyClub is for everybody and anybody. We have runners of all ages, of all shapes and sizes, from all different walks of life, with varying levels of fitness - as long as you commit to the program we know we can get you to 5K. If you're an absolute beginner we recommend joining one of our Couch To 5K programs which run three times a year - as you'll be part of a large group you'll find it much more motivating to run with other people striving for the same goal. It is sometimes possible to start Couch To 5K outside of the three large group intakes - this depends on coaching capacity at individual clubs so please do get in touch at hello@mileshyclub.com to find out.

Can I attend more than one club? Of course! Once you’re a member of one MileShyClub you’re a member of them all - all of our clubs run the same warm up games and all of our Couch To 5K groups run the exact same sessions so you can chop and change between groups if need be. Some of our runners love running socially and attend a couple of different groups every week. Some of our runners are shift workers and alternate between two different groups every week. Some of our runners just drop in wherever and whenever they want - with groups that run every day from Monday to Friday it’s really easy to start running, and stay running, with us.

What happens once I can run 5K? Once you are able to run 5K you can join our 5K Improvers groups that we have at all of our clubs - you can attend every week to run socially with your new friends or you can really work at the monthly intervals sessions to work on getting fitter and faster. If your next aim is reaching 10K we have a 6K-8K Improvers at Stretford and a 5K-10K Improvers at Sale. There are also lots of social runs - parkrun meetups every weekend, MileShyOnTour events, training runs for local races. Lots of our runners go on to run half marathons, marathons and beyond!

Can children attend your sessions? We do allow Under 16's to attend but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times - please ensure you have completed a separate medical form for them. There is no charge for children.

Can I attend with a running buggy? As long as your baby is aged over six months and able to hold their head up you are able to attend with an appropriate buggy. Please do bear in mind the terrain of the proposed route which you can generally find in facebook group and/or whatsapp group beforehand.
