How did you first get involved in MileShyClub?
I first started running with the MileShyClub in 2017. I had ran previous to this but had taken a few years off, and the MileShyClub gave me the focus to take up the sport again.
What does being a trustee with the MileShyClub mean to you?
I am passionate about helping people get involved in the sport of running and hope they can enjoy it, and benefit from it, as much as I do.
Why do you like being involved with the MileShyClub?
After qualifying as a run leader, then as a running coach, it is great to see people develop from that week 1 session to confidently running a 5k or more.
What do you do outside of the MileShyClub?
I work for a software company and manage a team of consultants who implement the system for customers. Communication and Project Management are the key tasks.
How did you start running?
I took part in local ‘fun runs’ as a child and have always ran throughout my life for fitness. I guess serious running came about in the lead up to the Edinburgh Marathon in 2013.
What is your greatest achievement or proudest moment with the MileShyClub?
Setting up and establishing the Thursday Sale sessions. These are a great way for confident 5k runners to push themselves and improve their running.
